As a Compliance Associate, Teresa Kihara supports internal audits and manages various compliance activities for IFG Advisory’s Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards, mitigating risk, and upholding the highest level of integrity in IFG’s operations.
Kihara moved to the U.S. from Kenya in 1998 as an international student, pursuing a degree in Business Management. Her passion for working with young children (ages 3-6) led her to earn a Diploma in Preschool & Kindergarten Management after high school.
In her free time, Teresa Kihara enjoys reading, hiking, Pilates, camping, playing tennis or squash, watching soccer (live or on TV), and traveling to new places. She’s a big fan of Turkish shows and movies. Volunteering for medical-related causes is close to her heart, with her favorite being the International Rescue Committee (IRC), a humanitarian aid organization.
